Two local Diamond Miss beauties to compete in national pageant

Queens brought home state titles

Two state Diamond Miss queen title winners, Brittany Barbee and Celie Ackermann, will be in Oklahoma on Saturday to compete in the national Diamond Miss pageant.

They and other Mineral Wells Diamond Miss queens from the local Christmas and Easter pageants traveled to Abilene in June to compete in the state pageant.

The first of the three-day event was the optional Diamond Girl competition that consisted of four modeling events and a talent. Ackermann, a petite miss, won photogenic, portfolio and best party dress and was first runner up for petite miss.
