Warrant service nets additional charges

By CHRIS AGEE

As local officers approached a residence in the 800 block of N.W. 2nd Street last week, they reportedly identified a subject standing beside a vehicle.

Police were at the location on March 5 to serve a municipal warrant in accordance with the ongoing roundup of violators, reports indicate.

According to police, officers noticed Roland Hayes Schultz III, 31, walk around to the rear of the vehicle and obscure himself behind it.

When officers initially made contact with Schultz, reports show he attempted to resist them.

Police said a subsequent pat down revealed Schultz was in possession of a small quantity of narcotics.

He was arrested and faces charges of resisting arrest, search or transport and possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Reports indicate the home is under construction and the property taken included counters, cabinets, and plumbing accessories.

Reports did not include an estimated value of the missing items.
