The anniversary of the famous shoot out at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Ariz., which took place Oct. 26, 1881, is quickly approaching, as is the local production of the play “Tombstone,” which kicks off Ram Theater’s 2012-13 season.
Directed by Kris Allen, the outdoor play, which was to take place at the Texas Frontier Trails’ Western Heritage Park, has been moved to Mineral Wells High School with performances Oct. 25-27, at 7 p.m., and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28. Texas Frontier Trails and First Financial Bank will sponsor the Mineral Wells High School production of “Tombstone,” by American playwright Don Nigro.
After last year’s successes, Ram thespians hope to continue to surprise and entertain audiences with this new telling of the familiar true story of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday and their infamous standoff with the Clantons and the McLowreys at the O.K. Corral.
