GRAFORD – A Graham woman died shortly after a single-vehicle rollover Tuesday morning.
Authorities were not sure if the woman died as a result of the crash or an underlying medical condition.
The wreck occurred around 2:45 a.m. on State Highway 337 just north of Sikes Street, in Graford. Catarina Hernandez, 36, of Graham, was reportedly driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla south when she struck a wild hog on the road. The vehicle then entered a bar ditch on the west side of the highway, rolled over and came to rest facing northwest, authorities said.
Hernandez and her passenger, Cista Deleon Hernandez, 66, of Graham, were transported by Graford and Possum Kingdom EMS, respectively, to Palo Pinto General Hospital. The passenger was then later taken to a Fort Worth hospital where she suffered a fatal heart attack.
According to DPS reports, the deceased was on her way to undergo a medical procedure at the time of the crash. An autopsy has been ordered.
