Since 2009 Addiction Recovery Ministries has offered its Life Recovery Program for substance abuse to addicts wanting to better their lives, for themselves, their families or children – and it’s expanding its services and facilities.

The non-profit, faith-based recovery organization has grown some in recent years and will grow some more in the coming year as it adds a residence for recovering women and their children.

According to Director Ted Oliver, ARM has just signed a contract on property at Wolters Industrial Park, the former Little Sprouts Day Care Center. After renovation, this will become ARM’s home for women and children, capable of housing 25 women and children in single units and 10 single women in a secondary building.

Oliver said ARM’s Life Recovery Program is recognized by the Palo Pinto County Community Supervision and Corrections Department for adult on probation and parole and Children’s Protective Services.

“Having ARM around helps,” said CSCD Director Jim French, who said they have had some success stories come out of the program.
