The local community welcomed participants in the recent Destination ImagiNation event, and the event's board members recently expressed their gratitude.
Regional Training Director Quinn Robinson spoke to the Index on behalf of the board of directors of the Greater Fort Worth Creative Problem Solving Organization about the level of support found among Mineral Wells citizens.
"The board of directors ... wish to thank the people, merchants and Mineral Wells ISD for their support in hosting the regional Destination ImagiNation tournament in Mineral Wells the past two years," he said.
He said local enthusiasm for the event is encouraging.
"I have been involved in this program for seven years and tournament support has never been close to the support we received from the Mineral Wells community," he said.
Robinson explained he has already gotten requests from participants to host next year's regional event in Mineral Wells, though he said bylaws prevent the same community from hosting three years in a row.
"[But] we'll get back here one of these years," he said.
