2 arrested in armed assault

Mineral Wells Police determined both individuals involved in a domestic disturbance Sunday acted as aggressors and each now face charges of aggravated assault/family violence with a deadly weapon.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of S.E. 2nd Avenue and found the two residents with superficial injuries.

Upon investigating the incident, officers learned Cornelia Higginson, 53, and Clarance Earl Hall, 50, were engaged in a physical altercation involving at least one knife.

Police reports suggest both Higginson and Hall possessed the weapon at some point during the dispute and both were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
