The Mineral Wells Art Association meeting on Tuesday, March 19, at the Mineral Wells Chamber of Commerce features “Portraits – From Birth to the Grave – You Can Do It,” by Millsap artist Dorothy Dowler.
Dowler will present the basic theory of painting the human body, starting with the face.
“The theory of painting a face never changes,” she said.
Additionally, Dowler will demonstrate the technique of painting portraits through the many stages of human development, from the infant to the elderly.
Those planning to attend are requested to bring a No. 2 pencil and a sketch pad.
The MWAA business meeting begins at 6 p.m. and Dowler's presentation will follow at 7 p.m.
