LaDonna Gatlin speaking at upcoming Zonta luncheon

By CHRIS AGEE

Making a name for herself apart from her legendary brothers, LaDonna Gatlin is an accomplished speaker and will be in town this month to share her message.

Sister of country music's Gatlin Brothers, she has earned the National Speakers Association's highest designation as a Certified Speaking professional.

According to local Zonta International member Joy Eaton, the appearance will coincide with the group's Status of Women Luncheon, set for 11:30 a.m., March 25, at Holiday Hills Country Club.

Gatlin, an inductee into the Speakers Hall of Fame, will be on hand to present "Tune-Up Your Life," an illustration of positive life principles based on the musical alphabet.

Gatlin describes the program as her keynote speech, which includes her personal story and an inspiring message, while not neglecting her musical roots.

She sings portions of the presentation and mixes in both heartfelt and humorous anecdotes during the hourlong speech.

In addition to speaking, Gatlin is an accomplished author, having written her own book and contributing to the bestselling series "Chicken Soup for the Soul."

Tickets to the Status of Women Luncheon are $25 each for adults and $15 for students.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call Dacey Malone or Jessica Lee at (940) 325-9821.
