Beginning Monday, Palo Pinto General Hospital is adding back to its repertoire the Santo Clinic, which brings the hospital’s rural health clinic total back to four.
For the past three years the clinic has been under the umbrella of Weatherford Regional Medical Center. PPGH opened the clinic in 2003 and operated it until August 2008.
In addition to addressing Santo Clinic at Tuesday’s meeting hospital trustees heard of the growing needs of the neighboring Gordon Clinic, also a part of the PPGH rural health clinic system.
The lease on the building is up and CEO Harris Brooks said they face some options, such as, “renewing the lease, purchasing the building outright or building our own stand-alone from the ground up.”
