Chamber dishes out business awards at annual banquet

It was a night of celebrations, awards, reflection and looking forward Monday at the annual Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet at Clark Gardens Botanical Park.

Among the honors handed out on the evening was that of 2012 Business of the Year Progressive Waste Solutions, formerly IESI, and Ken Russell, of Link Field Services Inc., named the Employer of the Year.

Regan Johnson, of Lofts & Hospitality, presided over her final chamber event as chair, passing the proverbial gavel to new chair Dacey Malone, executive vice president of Titan Bank. Johnson, however, received a ceremonial gavel, thanking her for her service the past year.
