Salsa Barons' Ball set this Saturday

By CHRIS AGEE

With a goal to raise $15,000 for mentally and physically challenged locals, Palo Pinto Challenge is once again offering a night of food and fun during its signature fundraising event – The Salsa Barons' Ball.

Set for Saturday evening at the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Posse, 1300 Farm-to-Market Road 1821 North, the event will begin with a 6 p.m. fajita dinner catered by Pulido's.

The Ball will include live music by Coe Boy, and Robert Snyder will serve as master of ceremonies.

In addition to live and silent auctions, one attendee will be selected to win a $1,000 grand prize.

Palo Pinto Challenge is limiting ticket sales to 200 and the cost of admission is tax-deductable.

Since 1999, the group has helped challenged young adults learn basic skills through work, including the sale of signature food products such as Hale Center Salsa and Jalapeno Cruzers.

Headquartered in Strawn, merchandise produced by the group is available at retailers in many local communities.
