The annual Mineral Wells High School Marching Ram Band and grand marshal MWISD Superintendent Gail Haterius will lead today’s homecoming parade.
The parade is scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m. at its traditional starting point on North Oak Avenue. The parade will move south through downtown then make a right turn onto West Hubbard Street, ending at Miller Stadium for the traditional bonfire.
Homecoming float winners will be announced at Friday night’s homecoming game against Burkburnett. The 2012 homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime.
Last bonfire
According to school district officials, tonight’s homecoming bonfire will be the last at Miller Stadium.
The public is asked to no longer dump debris on the property adjacent to Miller Stadium. Doing so after today will be considered trespassing.
