SANTO – At 10 a.m. Tuesday a mock 911 call came out for a “wreck” adjacent to Santo High School, as the community came together to stage possible adversities involved when students drive while texting or drinking.
Using a combination of the “Shattered Dreams” and “Every 15 Minutes” programs, Palo Pinto County Agrilife Extension agents Lynette Babcock and Scott Mauney orchestrated the event with lots of community help.
They worked with Santo Volunteer Fire and EMS Department, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home, Air Evac Lifeteam, Palo Pinto General Hospital, Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Department, county officials and Santo ISD staff, students and parents, according to Principal Mike Scott.
