City Council suspends Texas Gas Service's request for rate change

Following receipt last month of Texas Gas Service's intent to change consumer natural gas rates Mineral Wells City Council members voted Tuesday to suspend the request for 90 days.

City Manager Lance Howerton suggested the action in favor of joining with 10 other cities in the company’s North Texas service area to determine a fair rate for all parties involved.
