A collision with an 18-wheeler last month resulted in extensive injuries for a Graford native and volunteer firefighter.
According to his wife, Bo Lewis, 46, was working as a lineman in Midland when the crash happened Sept. 13.
“He was on his way to work one morning, him and a friend, and a water-hauling 18-wheeler truck ran a stop sign,” she said. “The vehicle went under the trailer in front of the rear axel and dragged them 600 feet before he stopped.”
The couple currently lives in Parker County, Angie Lewis said, recalling the moment she received the news.
“When they called me, they told me I need to get on a plane and get there fast,” she said.
