What could have been a simple off-bond warrant for evading arrest – a class B misdemeanor – ended with a handful of adults arrested or at large for several misdemeanors and two felony charges.
Precinct 5 Constable Gary Morris, four Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s units and City-County Narcotics officers attempted to serve a warrant Tuesday night at a Mineral Wells home on Fair Oaks Street, in the Western Hills subdivision. In addition, Morris said one highway patrol unit set up a perimeter.
According to Morris, they received information that George Aguilar, who Morris said was known as a runner, was at this house.
Aguilar was wanted for an off-bond warrant for evading arrest from the Mineral Wells Police Department, Morris said. When they arrived at the home, he said Aguilar slipped out the window and ran. Meanwhile, three other adults in the house covered for him.
