A local man recently made a large donation to the First Christian Church food bank, though not in the form of cash or food items pantry director Genie Quincy usually receives.
David Wells, owner of Mineral Wells Metal Recycling, spent two years collecting tabs from aluminum cans, which he anticipated using to support the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth.
The Ronald McDonald House provides families of sick children a place to stay and uses aluminum can tabs collected by volunteers as a source of funding for many of its operating expenses.
