Savannah Lankford stopped by the Index this week with her 4-year-old daughter, Kensley, just days after a scary incident Monday afternoon.
Both individuals were struck by a vehicle as Savannah pushed Kensley in a shopping cart in the crosswalk area of Walmart's parking lot.
Savannah explained she was not injured and the incident could have easily resulted in far worse than the scrapes and bruises Kensley sustained.
When the vehicle that struck them came to a stop, she said, a tire was on Kensley's hair and a turn of the wheel could have caused catastrophic results.
Both were all smiles, though, and after a quick trip to Palo Pinto General Hospital for treatment, they recognized how fortunate they were.
