Mary Brents was home bound for months because rotten beams on her porch and ramp were unable to support her motorized wheelchair.
A fortuitous encounter with several individuals from area churches recently remedied her problem when they arrived at her home the morning of July 14th to build her a new ramp and replace boards on her front porch.
"They call themselves Palo Pinto Carpenters," she said. "They built a ramp so that I could get out of my house and they didn't charge not one penny."
