The personality of Dr. Walter Joe Thomas, DDS, was cast in many differing characters, all of which were interesting, uplifting, inspiring and enjoyable.
All at one time he embodied several qualities of personality and ability. He was a man of emotion, with a heart that responded to needs of others and a sense of humor that pleasured, even as he was placing various threatening items in one’s mouth. He was concerned for the health and quality of that mouth.
He was sympathetic as he listened to stories of painful experiences, both dental and personal. An impending visit to his office was initiated in dread and oral discomfort, but was completed with satisfaction and comfort, with a mouthful of swabs, deadened nerve-endings and a feeling of having had a nice visit with a treasured friend.
