Not long ago, I noticed that there was an e-edition of the Index and I was a bit intrigued, but not too curious. I wasn’t sure that it was something for me, because I only use my computer for keeping up with friends and folks on Hotmail.
I really don’t get too deep in the technological world, except to call Coleen and ask her if she can delete something, and sometimes get her to print something that I want to keep. She sighs deeply, says something like, “Mom, I have shown/told you several times how to do that,” then sits down at my desk and goes through the details of the action with finite instructions. She should know by now that I am (1) not listening; or (2) not comprehending her detailed directions.
Either way, I did not even consider an e-Index subscription.
One day, just recently, the newspaper e-mailed me to see (or suggest, I don’t remember which) if I would like to subscribe. I am in the sights of anyone who has anything to “push” on e-mail.
