It started with just my brother, my sister and me. We grew, we married, and suddenly our group could no longer fit around one dining table. An increasing number of high chairs and booster seats forced us to spill over to multiple tables at family meals.
Now four of my five kids are married and have nine children between them. Combined with my parents, my younger brother’s three teenagers and my sister’s son, married daughter and three grandchildren, our small nuclear family has grown to 30 people.
