Community rallies to help senior center acquire needed and replace stolen, broken items

Wow. That about sums it up. I have been wowed and blessed by the community’s outpouring of encouragement in the wake of last week’s column.

So many people have called and dropped by to express their support for the Mineral Wells Senior Center and their indignation over the theft we experienced. I’ve heard it said that some preachers decried the crime from their pulpits on Sunday. Yester Whitsett even handed us a personal check to cover the replacement cost of our mops and bucket.
