PPBA seeks spring break volunteers

By CHRIS AGEE

Area churches affiliated with the Palo Pinto Baptist Association will be joining together to provide a Vacation Bible School for local youth during the upcoming spring break.

Event organizer Debra Hanlon explained events will be held at both Houston Elementary and Travis Elementary schools, March 11-13, from 9 a.m. until noon.

To make the event a success, she said organizers are looking for volunteers to serve in various roles. Those interested in learning more can contact Hanlon at (940) 452-2317.

Following the end of the VBS, participants will enjoy a party at West City Park featuring bands, free food, face painting and multiple other activities.

Hanlon said representatives from local ministries are invited to join in and set up a table to inform the community about their church or organization.

She explained the event is focused on providing a fun environment for sharing the message of Jesus. All children are invited, Hanlon said.

She encourages locals to invite neighbors and friends to take part.
