The Mineral Wells Bible Study Club met Jan. 25 at The Black Horse Restaurant with 14 members present. Robbie Pearson was hostess and lesson leader. The group had a choice of several delicious deserts and beverages to enjoy, after which Robbie opened in prayer and led the group in the study of Luke Chapter 19.

National Day of Prayer set for Thursday
National Day of Prayer calls on all people of different faiths in the United States to pray for the nation and its leaders.
I hope you are noticing – spring is beginning to emerge from winter.

Over 12 and one-half years ago God called my family out of the restaurant business.
Mount Olive AME Church and Rev. Mae Smith invite the community to a “Soul Food” dinner-fundraiser this Sunday, to help celebrate Black History Month.
Those were the words spoken to his spirit as he arose from a time of talking to God in prayer and contemplation.
Walk in Faith Ministries, based in Bridgeport, is expanding to a second meeting location in Mineral Wells next week.
