I was hostess at the Mineral Wells Bible Study Club that met March 28th at the Black Horse Restaurant. There were 15 members present and one guest. A variety of desserts were served along with beverage of choice. I opened in prayer, then Phyllis Lister taught the lesson from the 23rd chapter of Luke.
The chapter begins with Jesus being handed over to Pontius Pilate. Pilate asked Jesus, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus answered, "it is as you say." Pilate could find no fault with Jesus, so he sent Him to Herod as soon as he found out He was a Galilean and part of Herod's jurisdiction. Herod was glad to see Jesus as he had heard about Him and wanted to see a miracle done by Him. Herod questioned Jesus but Jesus failed to answer, then Herod sent Him back to Pilate.
