Do you like to go to the picture show? I can’t say I do, but I did as a kid.

However, now when I say picture show, the grandchildren make fun … they act like they don’t know what I’m talking about. When I explain, they say, “Oh, Grandma, it’s a movie. Picture show is a silly, old expression!”

Say what they will, that’s always the first thing I think when I am talking about a “movie.”

Raf and I don’t go to the movies very often. If there’s something we really want to see, we usually wait until it’s on DVD and get it at Downtown Video or watch it on television. The exception to this was all the Harry Potter movies which we saw with our kids and grandkids, usually the day they came out.
