Raf and I have raised children, taken care of family, assumed legalities, become care givers.  We have taught the children of Mineral Wells and have served on committees and groups in our community.  We have helped with grandchildren. But what we took on last Sunday was, in some ways, a greater responsibility than any of these other things.  We have taken on a responsibility for someone else’s child.  We became godparents.

We are godparents for some of our grandchildren, but, then, we were responsible for them in many ways already, and that didn’t change.

  • Reflections on Keeping a Diary

  • Reflections on Patience
