Reflections on our town

Well, I hadn’t really meant to write about this today, but I guess I have been to one too many candidate forums, and I am even tireder now than I was last week.

We attended the forum for local candidates, and what I reacted to in a negative way was being told that the only people who remain in Mineral Wells are “losers.”

Now perhaps there’s someone out there who considers himself a loser by living in Mineral Wells, but it surely is not me!

  Recently a friend of mine and her husband drove to New Hampshire to purchase a summer home. Sunday came and, as they had seen an Anglican church close by, they decided to attend. Instead, they ended up going to a Bible church down the street. As they drove up to the church, she turned to her husband and said, “I surely hope they believe in the same Bible we do!”
