Out & About in Perrin
Be aware that the Donkey Basketball game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Perrin High School Gym. Tickets on sale now; contact the high school office or any senior. Tickets are $6 each and children under 5 FREE. If you wait until the 2nd, tickets will be $8 at the gate.

OUT AND ABOUT IN PERRIN: Basketball success, giving to Mamaw’s House, part of season
PERRIN – Congratulations to the Perrin girls varsity basketball team for winning first place at the Gorman tournament last week. That’s two weeks in a row that the team has won tournaments. Good going to these young ladies.

Food Distribution @ Perrin Advent Christian Fellowship Hall will be Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9 to 11. Enter at North side of church.

School notes, youth party, poinsettia sales
PERRIN – The Perrin-Whitt Consolidated ISD fifth and sixth grade classes have been hard at work preparing for the Christmas program “Christmas at the OK Corral,” which they will perform on Dec. 14.

Local art class’s annual Christmas sale upcoming
PERRIN – Betty Blakley informed me that the Blakley Art Class will have its annual Christmas Craft sale Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Perrin Church of Christ fellowship room. They will be selling homemade pillows, jewelry, various artwork and other handmade crafts. There will also be a bake sale in conjunction with the Crafts to help raise money for the youth at the church.

First Baptist of Perrin hosting community-wide dinner today
PERRIN – Perrin First Baptist Church will host a community-wide dinner on Sunday, Nov. 18, beginning at 6 p.m.

Educational programs, sports and toy drive mark week’s activities
PERRIN – I’ve had it pointed out that I didn’t lose an hour of sleep in the fall, but gained an hour. It’s still a mystery how they figure that. I got up an hour earlier than usual and went to bed an hour later. Where’s that extra hour?

Fall back ‘for the good of somebody’
