PERRIN – Perrin First Baptist Church will host a community-wide dinner on Sunday, Nov. 18, beginning at 6 p.m. The church also wanted everyone know that the church office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from noon Wednesday through Friday.
Our sympathy goes to the family of Betty Snow who passed away Nov. 9. Her funeral was Monday at the Church of Christ building in Perrin. She has always been a special part the church family at the Perrin congregation. She had been in ill health for several years.
Story time at the Perrin school library 10-10:45 a.m. Dec. 12.
All preschool aged students are welcome.
Elementary grades pre-K through second grade will have their annual Thanksgiving feasts on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Perrin-Whitt CISD will observe the Thanksgiving holidays closing Wednesday through Friday.
PWCISD will hold a public meeting in combination with the school board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the PWCISD board room. The purpose of the public meeting is to distribute a financial management report that explains the district’s performance under each of the 20 indicators and the district’s rating on School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas). Interested district stakeholders are encouraged to attend.
Gifted/talented referrals are now being accepted for the 2012-13 school year. Referral forms are available in the elementary and high school offices. Completed forms need to be returned to Mrs. Amye Eudy or to the offices by Nov 30. Testing will begin in December and qualified GT students will receive GT services beginning in January.
The boys and girls basketball teams play at home against Forestburg on Monday with the games beginning at 4:30 p.m.
