PWISD website lists school supplies for all campuses

The first day of school is Monday, Aug. 27, and to get a list of the elementary school supplies needed for students you may go to the school’s website to be downloaded.

It also has the wish lists of the junior and senior high school in art, computer, English and science class. Just go to http://www.pwcisd.net/Uploads/79/misc/f232662.pdf and click to download the information.

We wish to extend a big Perrin welcome to the new principal of Perrin High School, Mrs. Diane Edge. Mrs. Edge is a long-time educator whose most recent position was as Assistant Principal and counselor at Millsap High School. We also wish the former Perrin High School principal Carolyn Warterfield a happy retirement.

There have been several changes at the school with teachers moving from one position to another, and some new teachers hired. I will try to get a list for next week's article.

Graham: many proud family members
Graham Dennis Stowell was born April 9 at 7:54 a.m. at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lonetree, Colo. Graham weighed 5 lbs. 11 oz. and was 18.5” long. His parents are Dennis and Sherri-Jo (Keener) Stowell of Aurora, Colo. Sherri-Jo is originally from Perrin.

Congratulations to Jack County Spelling Bee winner Kent Withaeger. Kent is in sixth grade at Perrin-Whitt Elementary. He won the Jack County spelling bee on Wednesday, Feb. 13, by spelling the word “pretzel.” Kent will represent Jack County on March 20 at the Regional Spelling Bee, held at Texas Christian University.

The varsity basketball girls will be going on to the playoffs. I’m not sure when or where they will be playing. Their final regular game will be Tuesday, at Poolville. The boy’s varsity will play their last game Feb. 8 at Ranger.
