Always enjoy grandchildren visits

By Kay Mealio | kaymealio@embarqmail.com

PERRIN – Last week we enjoyed visits from our grandchildren. Hannah and Travis Ashley came in from Lubbock and Jonathan Brumfield came home from Oklahoma Christian for their fall break. Fred cooked steaks out on the grill Friday night, which were delicious.

On Saturday they, plus parents Jo and Jeff Brumfield and exchange students Fran and Suzy, all went to the State Fair of Texas. They all had fun but didn’t get to see everything they wanted to. Sunday following church services, Fred again cooked out, making some great hamburgers. We really enjoyed visiting with all the “kids” and just talking about college. Hannah will graduate from Lubbock Christian in December, then will do an internship hopefully in Texas.

The Jack County Retired School Employees Association will be holding a barbecue fundraiser on Friday at the Jacksboro High School cafeteria from 5-7 p.m.
