Runoff voting information

PERRIN – On Tuesday, July 31, there will be a primary runoff election vote from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Perrin Church of Christ building. Early voting begins Monday at the Jack County Courthouse.

The Second Advent Christian Church will have its VBS Wednesday, July 25, through Friday, July 27. The theme of the VBS is “Awesome Adventures” through the Bible. Classes are 7-8:30 p.m. for all ages.

Wanda Kuhn fell and injured herself. She had to have five staples in her head. She fortunately put ice on her knee which kept down the swelling. She was to have the staples taken out Wednesday.

    Graham Dennis Stowell was born April 9 at 7:54 a.m. at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lonetree, Colo. Graham weighed 5 lbs. 11 oz. and was 18.5” long. His parents are Dennis and Sherri-Jo (Keener) Stowell of Aurora, Colo. Sherri-Jo is originally from Perrin.

    Congratulations to Jack County Spelling Bee winner Kent Withaeger. Kent is in sixth grade at Perrin-Whitt Elementary. He won the Jack County spelling bee on Wednesday, Feb. 13, by spelling the word “pretzel.” Kent will represent Jack County on March 20 at the Regional Spelling Bee, held at Texas Christian University.

    The varsity basketball girls will be going on to the playoffs. I’m not sure when or where they will be playing. Their final regular game will be Tuesday, at Poolville. The boy’s varsity will play their last game Feb. 8 at Ranger.
