Personally from Perrin
Have been staying close to home, been nowhere. I’ve been pretty shaky and not getting around very well. Felt better last Sunday than in some time. I try to rest a lot and take things easy. I baked a cake, iced it Saturday, and felt some better after getting something done.

Church of Christ hosts burger outing
The Perrin Church of Christ enjoyed a hamburger lunch last Sunday. Fred and his son, Marks, used Fred’s big grill and cooked hamburgers for everyone. Later on Louise and Elton Short brought lunch to us; there were lots of goodies besides the hamburgers. Lots of desserts were brought.

Public invited to Perrin First Baptist's July Fourth event
The First Baptist Church of Perrin is inviting all from the community to join them in celebrating Independence Day this Sunday, July Fourth. There will be free hot dogs and homemade ice cream. There will be games, a water slide and, of course, fireworks! Fun time begins at 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. If you have any questions about the activities, call the church office at (940) 798-2310.

Two-Bush Community Action Group fundraiser set for May 29
The Two Bush Community Action Group will once again host a fundraiser on Saturday, May 29, at the Perrin-Whitt School Cafeteria at 5 p.m. There will be barbecue with all the trimmings followed by a live auction.

Pews for sale as First Baptist Church of Perrin buys new ones
The First Baptist Church of Perrin is purchasing new chairs for their sanctuary and selling the old pews.
