DEC gives thanks to North Texas Pressure Vessels for awards

The DEC (Drug-Endangered Children) coalition would like to extend a million thanks to North Texas Pressure Vessels for the fantastic job they did making the trophies for Red Ribbon Week in the schools.
DEC sponsored a contest for the students of Palo Pinto County to color or draw a poster related to drugs. The trophies were designed, made and donated by North Texas Pressure Vessels for first, second and third place in each age group. Great job!

Veterans thank local restuarants for support
Dear Editor,
AmVets would like to thank the owners, managers and staffs of Mesquite Pit Weatherford, Mesquite Pit Mineral Wells and Chili’s and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, both of Mineral Wells, for their continued support of military active duty and veterans.
Jake and Caleb Maynard of Mesquite Pit, Senisa Roper at Chili’s and Mary Devitt, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop manager, along with their wait staffs, made it very special on Veterans Day for our country’s finest men and women.

Several attempts have been made to contact someone in city administration/inspections, trying to get results in a matter which, I believe, affects the well-being of our citizens and our young children. To date, the problems have not been addressed nor rectified.
