Christian Blaze Poteet

Christian Blaze Poteet, 12, of Mineral Wells, went to the care of the Lord Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in Mineral Wells. Christian was born in Midland Oct. 26, 2000.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.

Before his two-year battle with health issues started, he was an A-B honor roll student. He played soccer, joined gymnastics, loved to play football and basketball, enjoyed music, skateboarding, bike riding, drawing, bowling, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends. 

Christian was such an inspiration to everyone that knew him, and touched the hearts of so many. He will be remembered by his strength, courage, faith, determination, bright smile and his genuinely kind heart.

Survivors include: mother and father Michele Garcia and Jimmy Adams Jr.; brothers Tristan, Jayce and Ryder Adams; sisters Theya Poteet, McKinley Walker, Shelby Hiland and Raegan Taylor; grandparents Betty and Aurther Andrews, Tony Garcia Sr., Nikki and Raymond Etheridge, Jimmy Adams Sr.; great-grandparents Missy Andrews, Eulalia and Dole Waggoner, and Edna Portwood; great great-grandmother Ida Cretsinger; uncles Jesse Luna, Tony Garcia Jr., Jonathan Barrera, and Chris Donaho; aunts Trachelle Luna, Destiny Green, Tricia Calvert, Nicole Donaho, and Natasha Deaver; several great aunts and uncles; 12 first cousins; and many, many second cousins.

He was proceeded in death by: sister Kandra Adams, Grandpa Johnny Barrera, Great-grandmother and Grandfather Basila and Manuel Luna and Buddy Andrews, Uncle Christopher Biddle, and a few cousins.

Christian will be missed a great deal and will forever remain in our hearts.
