Ella Joy (Sides) Hendricks, 90, of Chesnut Mountain near Brazos, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at a Stephenville Nursing Home. Services were Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at 10:00 a.m at the Patillo Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Dobbs Valley Cemetery.
Ella was born Oct. 7, 1922, at Chesnut Mountain to the late George P. Sides and Edna Chesnut Sides.
She graduated high school and married K.O. Hendricks Dec. 22, 1942, in Palo Pinto County. Mrs. Hendricks helped her husband on the farm and raised their children. She was a great artist and loved to make mosaics and cook. Her favorite thing was sitting by the water fishing.
Mrs. Hendricks is preceded in death by her husband, and two sisters: Adera Bradley and Mamie Sides.
Mrs. Hendricks is survived by her son Ron Hendricks and his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Renee Robertson and her husband JP; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren
Visitation was Monday Jan. 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
