Leslie “Darlene” Butler, 62, of Mineral Wells, went to meet the Lord on Jan. 16, 2013. She was born in Mineral Wells, the daughter of Charles and Ruby (Parish) Ishmael.
Darlene worked 15 years at Banister Shoe store as a manager; this was a perfect fit with her caring and loving personality. She was a bowler for 25 years and was also put in the Hall of Fame for Mineral Wells bowlers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millsap.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend; she touched the lives of everyone she met and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by husband Robert Ray Butler; daughter: Misty Schnabel and husband Matt; sons: Robert Ray Butler Jr. and wife Laura and Michael Scott Butler; grandchildren: Makenzie Lynn and Brittany Shyann Schnabel, Faith Darcy and Levi Scott Butler; sisters: Ginger Kay Looney and husband Chester and Alice Clark.
Graveside service will be Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Rock Creek Cemetery.
