Sue Huddleston

Our Heavenly father welcomed another angel to her eternal home when Sue Huddleston was reunited with the love of her life on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.

Maudie Sue Huddleston was born Oct. 9, 1943, to George Fate Duncan and Dovie Beatrice Tilley Duncan in Chickasha, Okla. Her sudden passing has left so many people heartbroken, but we must remember that our loss here on Earth is a gain in Heaven.

There are many different types of people in this world but there was only one Sue Huddleston. She was made out of a unique mold of a woman in which she was kind and loving to all who knew her. Her amazing attitude could lift any spirit and brighten any room. She would help anyone she saw who was in need. Sue was a wonderful friend with an infectious smile. It seems impossible to believe that she's been taken from us so soon. Her love and laughter will be missed by many as was seen at her recent 25th anniversary celebration with State Farm.

Behind all the tears falling for her, there is also great love and admiration. We just have to remember that she may not be here in our everyday lives yet in our hearts, memories, and souls she will live forever. Her spirit will be alive in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they are a reflection of her.

If anyone would ask Sue what her finest legacy to the world would be, she would not have hesitated to say, "my family." To her there was no love greater than that of a mother and she proved it in every way. It was unconditional and ever-present.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Suroya and husband Brad Haile; Ronda and husband Corky Patterson. Her beloved grandchildren: Hannah and husband Dustin Egger, Katie Addison, William Patterson, Brylee Haile and Bryndon Haile. Great grandchildren: McKane, Ashlynn, Kohen, and Easton Egger. Special friends Sam and Priscilla Sanchez. Many loving nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.

Visitation was at Baum Carlock Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 7, from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 8th at the Millsap Baptist Church with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetary.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband Roy Huddleston. Her parents, George and Dovie Duncan. Two brothers, Bryan Duncan and Charles Free.

She accomplished quite a lot during her time on Earth. She found a man to share a lifetime with and had children that she adored. Making people happy was an important part of Sue's life. She was truly an exceptional woman, the most loving, honest, down to Earth person we will ever know. She made friendships that were everlasting and gave a helping hand where needed.

It goes without saying that Sue will be missed more than words can say. If we can find comfort somehow, it will be in knowing that she is reaping the rewards of a life well lived.

Sue now wears the wings she has earned - and they are golden!

Condolences may be left at www.bcbfuneralhome.com.
