GORDON – Cathy Gordon left this life Saturday evening Dec. 8, 2012. Services will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Gordon, Texas. Visitation was Tuesday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Strawn, Texas. Burial will be in New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon.
Cathy was born Nov. 22, 1938, to Red Pierce and Drusie Barret Pierce. She graduated from Gordon High School, loved to camp out in the mountains and doing things at the lake and was an avid reader.
She married Gary N. Gordon May 1, 1976, in Gordon. She is survived by her husband Gary; one son, Alan Cummings; two daughters – Diane Barker and husband Alvin, Sherry Rasmuson and husband Larry; one brother – Bill Pierce and wife Alecia; four grandchildren – Shona Rodriquez, Amanda Sizemore, Kaysi Scarbough and Coleman Rasmuson; three step-children –Laura Kiowski, Larry Tamplin and Lynn Tamplin; four step-grandchildren – Caten, Crystal, Caleb and Justin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jacob Cummings.
