Glenn Roland Griever, 78, died Oct. 11, 2012, in a Mineral Wells hospital.
Service is 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery in Parker County. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Pennington, Va., the son of Lem and Lola Parsons Griever. He married Frances Rudene Herring in May of 1956 in Mineral Wells. He was a member of the Cowboy Church and the American Legion. He retired from the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Griever, of Mineral Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Jr. and Chere Griever of Burleson, Texas; grandson, Cody Griever, of Burleson; sister, Jeanne Hyder, of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Don Griever, of Dayton, Ohio; niece, Jennifer McCullough, of Frisco, Texas; nephew, Jamie Hyder, of Dayton; and great-nephew, Gabriel McCullough, of Frisco.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on May 30, 2004; brothers, Charles and Robert Griever; and sister, Beverly Johnson.
