Betty June Moore, 76, of Mineral Wells, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Memorial services will be held at Northside Baptist Church, Mineral Wells, on Friday, March 8, at 2 pm.
Betty was born in Pineville, La., on October, 29, 1936. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School with the class of 1956 and married Ernest O. Moore Jr. on December 30, 1959, in Mineral Wells. They lived in Crowley where they raised their family – all four children graduated from Crowley High School. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Betty was a loan officer at Texas People’s Credit Union in Fort Worth until 2011. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Betty is survived by her: husband of 53 years, Ernest O. Moore Jr.; daughter, Darla Kelly, and son, Ernie Moore III, all of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Brandi Hicks (Joel), Rachael Palmer (Dennis), Sarah Nelson (Erik), Katherine Worth, Randall Ulrich (Serina) and Tracy J. Kelly; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Dale Lightsey, of Watauga; brother-in-law, Don Moore (Carolyn); sisters-in-law, Frances (Mrs. Bob) Walker and Ada (Mrs. Pete) Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her: parents, Jerry and Winnie Lightsey; daughter, Lynn Hanson, and son, Douglas Moore; brothers-in-law, Bob Walker and Pete Moore; and nephew, Ray Moore.
