Mickey Don Moody, 51, of Strawn, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in Strawn. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leon River Cowboy Church in Olden with Rev. Mike Orsini officiating and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Mickey was born June 26, 1961, in Stephenville to Jimmie Roland Moody and Jacqueline (Jackie) St. Claire. He graduated from Ranger High School and Weatherford College as a Paramedic. He married Deshai McDonald on July 26, 2009, in Strawn. He was a musician, enjoyed movies and video games, and socializing with friends and family. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Deshai Moody of Strawn; three sons, Nick Moody, Colten Kirkland, and Grayson Brandenburg; two daughters, Sheena Moody and Brianna Garza; two brothers, Rusty Moody and his wife Sharon, and Dusty Moody and his wife Kimberly; a niece, Cassie Moody; a nephew, Mitch Aeroheart; and a grandchild, Kinley Kirkland.
Memorial donations may be made to the Deshai Moody Special Account c/o First National Bank-Strawn Branch.
