Helen "Florine" Crawford, 88, of Mineral Wells, passed away Tuesday, Feb 26, 2013. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church. Internment at Willow Pond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Baumgardner Funeral Home Friday March 1.
Florine was born in Soda Springs on Aug. 3, 1924, the daughter of James and Margaret Clark Simpson. She graduated Mineral Wells High School with the class of 1943 and married L.D Crawford on July 7, 1944, in Mineral Wells.
She was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church for many years. She had various occupations including a child care provider, and employee of the Baker Hotel. She is well known for her great cooking and kindness to others.
She is survived by brother Norman Simpson and wife Virginia of Vallejo, CA; son Louis Crawford and wife Connie of Mineral Wells; son Howard Crawford and wife Kathy of Lipan; son David Crawford and wife Debbie of Mineral Wells; daughter Kathy Young of Weatherford; daughter Judy Sain and husband Ron of Watauga; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; great niece Renya Broom; and dear friends Ingrid and Christa; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband L.D. Crawford; brothers Jessie, Murphy and J.M Simpson; sisters Vida Geer, Opal Wright and Bessie Foster.
