Faye Herring, 76, died Nov. 9, 2012, in a Mineral Wells nursing home.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at First Baptist Church of Santo with Pastor Matthew Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Santo North Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
She was born May 6, 1936, in Strawn, the daughter of Floyd and Marie Smith Spoon. She married Dub Herring on Aug. 4, 1953, in Clovis, N.M. She was a longtime resident of Santo and a member of the First Baptist Church of Santo.
She is survived by her husband, Dub Herring, of Mineral Wells; children, Jimmy Herring, of Fort Worth, Sue Vandygriff, of Mineral Wells, and Donny Herring and wife, Mindy, of Santo; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Hannah and Blake; great-grandchildren, Alissa, Jayson and Carter; brother, Charles Spoon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister.
