Ruth Mereline Nichols, 80, passed away Feb. 3, 2012 in a Mineral Wells nursing home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1931 in Houston, the daughter of Walter Ray and Martha Mae Bradley Nix. She married Dresdon Foy Westenhover on March 4, 1950, in Mineral Wells.
She married Aubrey Earl Nichols on Sept. 24, 1972, in Garner. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells. She worked at Palo Pinto General Hospital as a Inhalation Therapist from 1974-1984 and at Mineral Wells ISD with the kitchen staff from 1984-1996.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at Woodland Park Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her son, Bradley Lee Westenhover of Zachary, Louisiana; daughter, Teresa Guay Westenhover Byrd, of North Zulch; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sisters, Martha Reese of Mineral Wells and Ann Maddox of Colleyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Dresdon Foy Westenhover, and Aubrey Earl Nichols in March of 2002, and her son, Dresdon Ray Westenhover.
