Ernest Norman “Toby” Kincaid

GRAFORD, Texas – Ernest Norman “Toby” Kincaid, 68, died Feb. 1, 2012.

Graveside service is 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Oran Cemetery. Visitation will be in the home at 521 Railroad Ave., Graford, anytime you wish to come. We will be sharing a meal in their home after the service.

He was born to James Rueben and Floy Maude Garrison Kincaid at their home in Oran, Texas, on July 13, 1943. Toby married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Logan, on Oct. 12, 1963. They were blessed with the birth of their first son, Curtis Todd, in May 1970. In August 1971, they were blessed with another son, Phillip Dean. Their home was open to numerous kids who were treated like their own. Toby was a hardworking, honest man who always gave everyone a chance and some people a second chance. He always saw the good in people. He loved to dance, hunt elk in Colorado, hunt deer in Texas, horse racing in Ruidoso, N.M., and fish anywhere.

He is survived by his mother-in-law who he dearly loved, Lorean “Granny” Weldon; his wife, Sherry; her sisters, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews; his son, Todd; a daughter of the heart, Karen Sue Olree and her grandchildren; three sons of the heart, Travis Rogers, Aaron Ince and Johnny Pope; a sister, Gaye Hensley and her family; brothers, Robert Kincaid and wife, Tricia, and their families, Cale and wife, Shirley, and their family; very special great-nephew, Toby Kyle Fergeson; very special friend, Gail “Ruthie” Stewart; and his beloved dog, Lupe, and cat, Neow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Philip Dean; and brother, William Lawrence “Bill” Kincaid.

Donations in his name may be made to the Graford Ex-Student Scholarship Fund.
