David Wayne Best, 56, died Feb. 8, 2012, at his home in Mineral Wells.
Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don DeFoor and Mark West officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Pond Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1955, in Mineral Wells, the son of James V. and Julia Chambliss Best. He married Pam Glover on July 17, 1982, in Mineral Wells. He was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells. He worked at Corrections Corporation of America for 20 years. He was the preacher at West Side Baptist Church for the past 12 years. He was in the music and youth ministry in Mineral Wells for the past 30 years. He was a singer in the twice-nominated Southern Gospel Musical Association Group of the Year, The Best Family Trio.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Best, of Mineral Wells; children and spouses, Shayne and Tabitha Tipton, of Fort Worth, Candace and Carson Rynders, of Santo, Curtis and Lorrane Best, of Mineral Wells, and Alicia and George Eisenburg, of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Canaan, Monet, Bree, Matt, Jacob, Everly, Kaydence, Braylee, Mackenzie, Ramzey, Dakota Ann and Jordyn; parents, James V. Best, of Louisiana, and Julia Eisenburg, of Mineral Wells; sister, Marsha Best, of Mineral Wells; niece, Angela Best, of Mineral Wells; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Glover, of Mineral Wells.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Glover; and grandson, Austin Jacob.
